About Moral Reconation TherapyMRT is a well-researched and well-documented cognitive-behavorial approach aimed at systematically altering how individuals who have legal histories make decisions - how they think. MRT improves individuals who have legal histories' reasoning and fosters their social and moral growth, so they can make better decisions about what they should or should not do in a given situation (for example, sell drugs or not, go to work or not). MRT is a theoretical approach that has been shown to reduce recidivism (the rate of individuals who have legal histories returning to crime) from 25% to 60% in more than 30 states and in Ontario, Canada, and Puerto Rico. MRT is also used system-wide in the states of Washington and Oklahoma, and in Oregon's Washington County.
